Monroe County Sheriff's Department assists in June 17, 2019 search, recovery operation on the White River

The Monroe  County Sheriff’s Department worked with the Arkansas County Sheriff’s Department and AGFC Officers in the search for a missing Arkansas County man who went out on the White River Sunday and did not return home.

The search revealed the man had been a victim of a boating accident and was deceased. 

Chief Deputy Richard Smith used the Monroe County Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue boat in both the search, and the eventual recovery of the victim near the Arkansas/Monroe county line.
