Sheriff's Office Receives a Grant to Purchase NARCAN

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Walmart Foundation and Stuttgart Walmart #102 for awarding our Agency a Community Grant.  We will use the funds to purchase NARCAN nasal spray  for our Deputies' First Aid kits.  NARCAN is a lifesaving drug which reverses an Opioid Overdose if administered in time.  As Arkansas' Opioid Crisis continues to worsen, Law Enforcement is increasingly vulnerable to accidental exposure to Opioids, especially Fentanyl and other synthetic Opioids. 

We would also like to thank Monica Lindley, CEO of Mid-Delta Health Center in Clarendon, and Dr. Schlalchlin, who is the Medical Director for Mid-Delta Health Center and the Monroe County Health Officer, for their assistance in obtaining reduced pricing for First Responders.
