06/17/2015 Olive Arrested on Drug Charges |

On June 10,2015, Chief Deputy Richard Smith encountered the subject Rusty Olive leaving a residence that was being patrolled at the request of the owner. Chief Smith pulled Mr. Olive over to question why he was on the premises, upon further questioning, Chief Smith retrieved a loaded pistol, drug paraphernalia, digital scales and a substance that was field tested and later identified as crystal meth. Trooper Kris McCrea and Trooper Rodney Davenport arrived on scene to assist Chief Smith and all evidence and Mr. Olive were turned over to Arkansas State Trooper Rodney Davenport. Mr. Olive was read his rights and taken to the Monroe County Sheriff's Department were he was charged with Possession of Firearms by Certain Person, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Olive has a court date of June 23rd, 2015. |
