The Monroe County Sheriff's office conducted training Friday November 13th, on new less lethal tactics. The County purchased 8 new pepper guns to be used by all deputies. The pepper gun shoots out a pepper gel that will stop most combative suspects without using hand to hand force. This protects the suspect and officer. The less lethal is one of the many tools that our officers can use when necessary.
